If a student drops/transfers from Western: The dropping student brings each of their teachers the drop slip. The teacher clears the student’s textbook from the Zangle Inventory module, signs off on the drop slip that all textbook/materials have been returned and gives the student a grade. Each teacher keeps the textbook or workbook for his/her class. The student brings the drop slip to the library, the librarian or technician signs off that the student does not owe any library books or library fines. If a student owes library fines and or library books, the student will not be cleared. If the dropping student does not return a textbook to their teacher: The teacher does not clear the student and no grade is given. If the student has not returned all textbooks to their teachers, the drop slip will not be signed by library staff until the missing textbook is returned or paid for. All the textbook information remains in Zangle until the student returns his/her books.
If the dropping student does not return a Classroom Library Book to their teacher: The teacher should notate the title and cost of the CL book on the drop slip. The library technician will charge the student with the cost of the book. The student will not be cleared until the fine is paid or the book is returned. If the lost book is recovered, the book will be returned to the appropriate teacher. (Provided the teacher’s name is written on the book.)
